After being diagnosed at age two with Addison's disease, our family's poodle, Sophie, stopped eating. Determined to boost her food intake, we researched holistic canine nutrition and created the first recipe for Sweet Little Butterpup- peanut butter based dog treats powered by organic chia seeds, the nutrient packed superfood! The human-grade treats we baked in our own kitchen inspired Sophie to start eating again and inspired us to start a new business: Lincoln Bark!
It's ok to keep some things close to the heart. That's why we use only human-grade ingredients that are locally sourced, many from midwest farms. Our organic chia seed comes from it's native environment in South America.
The Lincoln Bark team has also taken part in and donated to many charities including One Tail at a Time, the Anti-cruelty Society, PAWS and the Fido Magazine "Get Your Licks on Route 66 Cross Country Animal Adoption Tour".
